Justice for George Floyd: Princeton in Solidarity

June 2, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Come join us in honor of George Floyd, and in solidarity with Black lives everywhere. This is a socially-distanced and peaceful protest. We will be spaced out along Nassau St., Witherspoon St., and nearby areas six feet apart. Upon arrival, find a location as close as possible to the street intersection/FitzRandolph Gates and kneel, stand, or sit down (if you are able). Organizers in gloves will pass around sticks of chalk for artwork on the sidewalks. Just showing up helps: Let’s take up space, and show Princeton that we stand against racism in our community.

Wear a mask & gloves
Make a sign
Bring water & friends (& chalk if possible)

Can’t come? No worries! Participate virtually by posting a photo with the hashtag #PrincetonForBlackLives, supporting Black-led businesses, and donating to anti-racism organizations.

Sponsors include Not in Our Town, CHOOSE, PHS MSAN, PHS PULSE, Princeton Latinos y Amigos, Labyrinth Books, Code Equal, Housing Initiatives of Princeton, and the Coalition for Peace Action. *IF YOUR ORG WOULD LIKE TO CO-HOST, JUST MSG CHOOSE AND WE’LL ADD YOU ASAP!!*

Also, afterward at 7 PM, Not in Our Town is hosting this Continuing Conversation online: https://princetonlibrary.libnet.info/event/4345194
